Hi, from 16.6.23 to 18.6.23 i visited 2 events: PPG-Meeting at Ballenstedt and Dolkosh at Dolmar. 5l of gas, 640 km and 15,5 h flightime. On friday 16.6. i flew from Porta to Ballenstedt (170 km) first in good thermals, then at the Harz i had to use the bailey engine due to a big rain area north of the Harz. Next day 130km in good thermals to Dolmar. The „Dolkosh“ is a huge meeting for ULM. Landed there at noon, but had to start after 2 hours, because the clouds in 2800m were calling🤗 150 km triangle with Wasserkuppe and Bad Neustadt as turning points. Very nice evening with friends, fireworks, BBQ & beer, and flying display (Yak (original) aerobatics) Jet-models night flight. Next morning nice breakfast buffet and with begining thermals i started back to Porta (211 km). It was worth, getting the swift out of the trailer😇😉😎 Sunrise at Ballenstedt (EDCB) www.dropbox.com/s/xtogelxg28hbubz/ballenstedt.JPG?dl=0“Dolkosh“ at Dolmar. Shot at about 12 o‘clock and already 120 planes there. Till evening it was 300 and over 2 days about 400 planes www.dropbox.com/s/5ouavvwq0p76coj/IMG_2392.JPG?dl=0Camping www.dropbox.com/s/7twr8u34dvpihiy/IMG_2402.JPG?dl=0www.dropbox.com/s/ioqhxpa7k65diaf/IMG_2394.JPG?dl=0Start at Dolmar www.dropbox.com/s/ud2mlvn7xwe8cg6/IMG_2419.JPG?dl=0www.dropbox.com/s/b5ion1obgvcwhhl/IMG_2420.JPG?dl=0

I like the way you took your small tent along with you for the night.

I like the way you took your small tent along with you for the night. I also have 12V/15 Ah powerbank, fresh clothes, water, cooking equipment, folding cup, and coffee + some food on board. Autonomous for 2-3 days😎

Famous trip. Congratulations.
I also used my Swift at the beginning to travel a little bit (but only trips of one day) until I broke two engines....Bailey 175. The boss of Aériane warned me about the little engine and the danger to travel with but I didn't hear about it until.... I have now no confidence anymore in these engines and use them only to take-off and come back in the envening if I don't find any thermic more.
Regards
Christian

yes Friwi,
Congratulations. It is sure the reason why you had less problem until now with your engine. It was a great and big trip with less gas and more thermics. Super
