...the way the wind blows around here. It would end up the other side of the valley in a ball. Swift and all!
I worry about what my Swift is in and how easy it may get damaged. My Swift is inside the trailer I built and the trailer is in my basement garage. Only one possible disaster left. House fire and chances are pretty darn low.
Speaking of that. Anyone know if the Swift can be insured?

Hello Keshka,
My Swift is insured on the ground for all the damages if the engine doesn't run (insurance "omnium ground"). Nothing in the air because it is too expensive.
For the trailer, it is the insurance of the car that takes the part. If I have an accident on the road with the trailer, my insurance car give money for the trailer and my insurance "ominium ground" give money for the Swift.
And we are obliged to take an RC for all the damages we can do to other people or plane,...
With my insurance at the federation of Ulm in France (FFPLUM), I have a free insurance for all the damages on the Swift in the hangar (parking).

That level of insurance would be great....if I could find it. In the US, Auto insurance is required for liability reasons and covers any damage I might do to another. The Vehicle itself is only covered if the finance company requires it (most all do). But even still, my towed trailer and contents are not. Even items in the car with you, not covered.
In the US, you can insure most aircraft (very expensive!)....but not the Swift as it is classed "experimental" and most overseas insurance companies want nothing to do with the US.

Kesha, My car insurance is like Christian's, the trailer and glider are covered while towing. While parked, a least here at home, it is covered under homeowners insurance. I have emails from my insurance company rep saying so. I also have liability insurance through USUA. Mike
