Hello everybody, Robert and I planned to fly together since 3 years and finally we decided to go to Hayingen (Germany). We stayed 9 days and unfortunately, the weather was not famous. But the club is beautiful, the region is marvellous and we used a maximum the days with beautiful weather. Don't forget to show us your flights and the regions where you glide Regards Christian PS : it is for you Mike The airfield at the side of the installations and the runway 13 The installations with the hangar maintenance, the hangar to park the planes, the briefing room, ... Thank you Christian! The airfield and surrounding area are absolutely beautiful! The grass runway is magnificent. That last day looks like a superb flying day for sure.
Are the red decorations on your Swifts mainly for visibility or for aesthetics? Do you use vinyl appliqués?
Thanks again for posting! Mike

Hello Mike, I installed the decoration when I flew for the first time in the mountains. The guys there said that it was very important to signal the Swift in the air because there are many gliders flying. I found a society in Sisteron, not far from La Bâtie-Montsaléon (where I flew in true glider to learn to fly in the mountains). The boss of that firm is a Belgian guy very friendly ( Net words ). He suggested me different decoration and I choose that one that is aesthetic and useful too. I remarked since that period that another pilot of Swift decorated his Swift exactly as mine... Pascal Lanser...sure at Sisteron too I don't know exactly which kind of material it is but he adviced me to take this color to avoid to change after 2 years and it is perfect after 5 years now . I can ask if you want or you can write to that society. Regards Christian

Hi Christian, Your gliders quite striking with the graphics, and I imagine they also make it easy to see in the air. Thank you for the pictures. I think I will explore options for graphics here in the US. There are many companies that make vinyl appliques for decoration and advertising, even in my local area. They will even make custom designs if you want. My son had a special graphic made with his company logo that he applies to his company vehicles. I think that maybe this could work for a swift also- Cheers, Mike
